position is to implement and manage HSE (Health, Environmental and
Safety) programs relative to a large national/international
corporate account, market area or geographical region.ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMonitors injury, illness, and incident
related performance within the geographical / contractual area of
responsibility. Monitor performance for trends or other indicators
of improving or degrading incident performance, and develop and
implement strategic solutions that will improve the performance
results as required.Acts as a resource to staff and internal
customers as the HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) Subject
Matter Expert. Provide direct and timely advise and information to
the management responsible for the account, market area, or
geographical region of responsibility in all matters related to HSE
(Health, Safety and Environmental) performance, compliance, trends,
and concerns. Provides direct and timely advise and information to

and concerns.Implements all corporate HSE (Health, Safety and
Environmental) initiatives, and communicate all corporate HSE

effectively drives program consistency and effectiveness across the
account, market area, or geographical region of
responsibility.Oversee the specific HSE (Health, Safety and
Environmental) plans, playbooks, and procedures for the account,
market area, or geographical region of responsibility to make
certain they are current, complete, and effectively
implemented.Monitors HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental)
regulatory compliance within the account, market area, or
geographical / contractual area of responsibility. Communicates all
findings, concerns, and deficiencies to the responsible managers to
effect timely and necessary corrections. Develops and implements
strategic solutions that will support management's efforts to
improve and maintain compliance as required.Identifies
opportunities to reduce costs while enhancing quality of
services.Responses to client employee concerns regarding HSE
(Health, Safety and Environmental) matters.Supports compliance and
the Principles of Responsibility (Client Code of Conduct) by
maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information,
protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and
integrity, reporting non-compliance and adhering to applicable
federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and
client policies and procedures.Other duties may be
assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides formal supervision to
individual employees within single functional or operational area.
Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment,
selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and
termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next
level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors
appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including
overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the
company's values.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an

EXPERIENCEBachelors degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or
university. Minimum of 8 years of related experience.Demonstrated
knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and
environmental regulations is essential. Direct experience dealing
with regulatory agencies and / or compliance officers is
required.Experience working in any one or multiples of the
following is essential: Chemical processing and refining
environments, manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical /
biotechnology, construction, heavy industry, and facility
maintenance and management.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESAs required
by local authority (if required). Certified Safety Professional
(CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous
Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician
(OHST) - PreferredCOMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to comprehend,
analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability
to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to
write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive
style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on
complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public
groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key
employees, top management, and client groups to take desired
action.FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGERequires in-depth knowledge of financial
terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability
to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business
analysis including the preparation of reports.REASONING
ABILITYAbility to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety
of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical
and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing
strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales
environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes
recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.SCOPE OF
RESPONSIBILITYDecisions made with in-depth understanding and
interpretation of procedures, company policies and business
practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting
department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact
to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of
