Support Professional (DSP)Position Summary North Star Oregon LLC is
seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals
(DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental
disabilities (I/DD) in home, community, and day program settings.
As a DSP, you will assist individuals in achieving their personal
goals, promoting independence, and participating fully in their
communities. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support with
activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, dressing,
mobility, meal preparation, and medication reminders. Facilitate
engagement in community-based activities, including recreational
outings, appointments, and skill-building opportunities. Promote
and respect individual choice, dignity, and self-determination.
Support individuals with vocational, social, and life skills
development in accordance with person-centered support plans.
Complete required documentation (e.g., progress notes, incident
reports, attendance logs) accurately and timely. Maintain a safe,
clean, and supportive environment following agency policies and
safety protocols. Collaborate with families, guardians, and other
care team members to ensure holistic support. Respond to
emergencies calmly and effectively, following individualized
support and crisis plans. Qualifications - Preferred Prior
experience working with individuals with I/DD or in caregiving
roles. Certification in CPR/First Aid and Oregon Intervention
System (OIS) (or willingness to obtain). Familiarity with
Oregon-specific reporting and care standards for Medicaid-funded

Requirements: Qualifications - Required Must be at least 18 years
of age. High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license and
reliable transportation. Ability to pass a criminal background
check through the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS). Basic
computer literacy for electronic documentation and communication.
Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals as
needed.
