Histo Tech Location: Coos Bay, OR Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $1,520 to $1,680 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $38.00 - $42.00/Hourly. Summary: The Histology Technologist prepares tissue specimens for microscopic examination by pathologists. This includes processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining tissue samples while ensuring high-quality slides for accurate diagnosis. The role requires knowledge of laboratory safety, histology techniques, and quality control procedures. Skills and Ability: Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location Demonstrates a general knowledge of histologic techniques, procedures, and safety precautions Requirements Requirements: Bachelor's degree Required. 5 years of experience as a Histology Technologist Required. Applicants should be well rounded in all aspects of histology including embedding, cutting, staining, grossing small biopsies Required. Grossing experience Required. Epic AP experience Required.
