Job Description:

We are looking for an SMT Machine Operator and Soldering Technician (SMT & Through Hole) for an electronic contract manufacturing company in Tualatin. In this role you will --operate a Yamaha YCP10 SMT Stencil Printer, a Yamaha YSM20 Pick & Place Machine and a BTU Reflow Oven. -- Duties: Set-up, operate and perform routine maintenance of a Yamaha YCP10 SMT stencil printer and a Yamaha YSM20 pick & place machine Set-up feeders and load feeders into the pick & place machine Tear-down feeders when jobs complete and return components to original packaging and job kit. Hand place SMT components in solder paste that could not be placed by the pick & place machine Set-up, operate and perform routine maintenance of a BTU SMT reflow oven Set-up, operate and perform routine maintenance of a Yestech automatic optical inspection (AOI) machine Report all assembly errors to the Lead and/or QC manager Use the microscope to verify correct component placement and orientation Maintain general cleanliness of the SMT Production area and equipment Communicate all material shortages affecting assemblies to the Lead and/or QC Manager Provide daily Excel spread sheet/e-mail jobs status reports Maintain close security and protect the company's assets from damage, theft, or misuse Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Lead and/or Supervisor -- Qualifications: Associates degree (A. A.) from a two-year college or technical school preferred 3 years of experience soldering through hole and SMT components Soldering skills per IPC-610 Class II 1 year of experience operating an automated pick & place machine, SMT stencil printer and SMT Reflow Oven Experience hand placing SMT components in solder paste Must be able to work using a microscope Accurately identify components and package types Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, documents, and aides as required Excellent communication and organizational skills -- Schedule and Pay: Monday - Friday 9am-- --- 6pm $18 --/ hour, DOE -- Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off
