Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Beaverton, OR - Onsite 5 days a week

Duration: Full time

Salary: $60-70k

The role, at a glance:

This client is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Compliance Technician to ensure our products meet applicable worldwide regulatory requirements. The focus of this position is to test, document, and maintain product compliance.

How you'll contribute:

Work with compliance engineers to ensure new products meet applicable worldwide environmental, safety and EMC certifications

Support compliance testing at third party laboratories

Performs assigned compliance pre-EMC, environment and/or safety tests

Read and understand requirements for the testing to be performed

Differentiate between related standards and be able to answer customer's questions accurately

Understand and act based on changes to test standards

Take EUT photographs and document configurations with accurate and complete diagrams

Document test data thoroughly and accurately (including dates, pass/fail criteria and results, history of events, test equipment use and calibrations, and other pertinent data)

Perform regular or periodic internal calibrations using calibration procedures

Troubleshoot test failures to determine causes

Follow the test plans/instructions written for selected compliance tests

Maintain an orderly work area

Perform additional duties as assigned

A successful candidate should have:

The following combination of experience, knowledge, and skills:

Previous experience with third party testing or electronics testing

Ability to debug electrical embedded systems

Ability to work to a high level of accuracy and detail

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

Related experience in regulatory compliance engineering or closely related fields

Ability to analyze standards
