Status: Full TimeHours: 40 hours/week Company Sponsored Time: We are piloting a 4-day, 32-hour work week, and YWCA will provide this role 8 hours of Company Sponsored Time for you to use on Fridays to maintain work-life balance while maintaining pay at 40 hours a week. In addition to the position specific responsibilities provided below, each YWCA Clark County employee must share responsibility for upholding and modeling the organization's core value on a daily basis. Think through the lens of racial equity and its intersections with poverty. Use the core principles of anti-racism and grounding those principles in all daily tasks. Incorporate the YWCA's commitment to social justice by understanding how racism, sexism, classism and other oppressions intersect and are embedded in institutions. Seek opportunities for continued learning about racial, gender and class equity. Assure that participants, staff, volunteers and community partners are treated with respect and dignity regardless of race, ethnic background, gender or socioeconomic background. Gain approval for, track, and engage in activities that meet the organization's 1% for Social Change requirement. Program Specific Deliver comprehensive multisession curriculum for youth participants focused on preventing sexual assault and building healthy relationships. Review and update content regularly to maintain alignment with evidence-based and best practice models. Develop and lead training program to equip youth peer specialists with the skills to co-facilitate curriculum effectively. Provide ongoing coaching and annual onboarding for each new cohort to ensure readiness for facilitation. Conduct outreach to schools, and youth serving organizations to coordinate and promote multisession curriculum and peer specialist training. Facilitate trainings and community education presentations on prevention, teen dating violence, how to talk to youth about healthy relationships, and other topics for youth-serving agencies, parents/guardians, and community members. In partnership with Prevention Program staff, coordinate and manage all Prevention Program specific social media accounts to include relevant information on program updates and resources for youth. In collaboration with Prevention Program staff support outreach and awareness/action month activities for Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (February), Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April), and Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October). In collaboration with Prevention Program staff support and implement annual Queer Couve and BIPOC Youth Summits. Manage a dynamic schedule encompassing community meetings and interactions, partner engagements, training sessions, and program meetings. Ensure the accurate upkeep of contact databases and calendars to reflect the latest information. In partnership with the Director of Prevention, evaluate effectiveness of prevention program including: grant period activities, curriculum, engagement with participants and stakeholders, and impact within the community. Request and collect feedback from participating youth and community partners. Accurately track, document and input outreach programming activities and statistics into state database as required by contracts, grants, and program procedures. Consistently, accurately, and promptly complete narrative reports for all programming activities. Successfully complete 56 hours of initial training, followed by 20 hours of annual training thereafter. Stay up-to-date on research-based, best and promising practices of programs implemented with youth experiencing oppression. There is a strong social justice component to all program positions within YWCA, requiring critical thinking through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty and other forms of oppression. Knowing the core principles of anti-racism and grounding those principles in everyday work are required job skills and core values. Related education: High School Diploma or equivalent or position equivalent experience in addition to the experience requirements listed below. Related experience: At least one year of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or teen dating violence prevention work with a focus in anti-oppression as well as strong working knowledge of prevention strategies. At least one year providing outreach and facilitating trainings, preferably about anti-oppression and youth engagement. At least one year working or volunteering with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color populations and LGBTQIA+ populations preferably with an emphasis on working or volunteering with youth. Hold active and up to date driver's license and auto insurance in order to commute throughout Clark County to fulfill job responsibilities. Strong organization skills: maintain a strategic focus while simultaneously managing multiple projects, deadlines, goals, and program needs. Strong technological skills: effectively use common software programs (like MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint) to fulfill position related expectations.
