Job Summary/Description: FOX 12 is seeking an investigative producer, who must be a strong journalist with an investigative and research background, and who is expected to create award winning stories that impact the lives of FOX 12's viewers. This position generates high quality investigative story ideas; researches and field produces investigative stories and specials; manages franchise stories; and contributes strong journalistic stories and elements to daily newscasts. This position will also contribute to other special projects, including sweeps features, documentaries, station events, and awards entries. Work performed is for all media platforms and initiatives, including: on-air, web, and social media. Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -----Researching and pitching stories for team of enterprise reporters and FOX 12 anchors-----Field producing and writing daily investigative/enterprise stories-----Working with enterprise reporters and photographers and FOX 12 anchors to complete long-term special projects-----Coordinating with newscast producers on presentation of investigative/special projects stories-----Writing/posting digital elements for investigative/special projects stories on station website and social media channels-----Working alongside assignment editors to develop investigative angles on big stories for daily investigative presentation in newscasts Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in journalism or communication preferred- Experience in investigative/enterprise producing, reporting, or writing in local televison newsrooms- Strong organizational, communication and people skills required- Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to schedule changes If you feel you're qualified and want to work with a great group of people go to , you may type in the job title, station call letters, or click on "apply now", upload your resume, cover letter and references KPTV-TV/Gray Television Group, Inc. is a drug-free company Additional Info: Gray Television provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
