CCC's River Haven is hiring a full time Alcohol and Drug Counselor-CADC!

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm

River Haven is an innovative program that will offer integrated housing, health care, and employment services with the long-term goal of eliminating homelessness. We seek to change how these services are delivered to all people, especially vulnerable populations.

As a member of a multi-disciplinary team at River Haven, you will to deliver comprehensive, person-centered, integrated services to the Portland Eastside community. You will be providing substance abuse treatment and case management. You will work to address all treatment needs, including crisis management, substance abuse treatment, physical health management, mental health management, accessing affordable housing, accessing employment and educational opportunities.

Duties to include:

• Conduct screening and assessment of potential clients to determine treatment needs, placement, and diagnosis; develop an individualized treatment plan to reflect these
• Participate in direct treatment of clients by:
  • Attending clinical staff meeting and case conferences in order to facilitate individual treatment plans for clients;
  • Providing group counseling to clients as needed.
  • Provide case management to clients on an as-needed basis
  • Conduct treatment groups and provide individual counseling as needed.
  • Work as a member of the River Haven multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, client centered and trauma informed integrated services.
  • Actively participate in the integration of services at River Haven and identify new opportunities to improve collaboration between and within service and care teams while carefully following information-sharing guidelines.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within River Haven workflows and logistics. Participate in review of River Haven Key Performance Indicators; review and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities and plans.
  • Build understanding of and appreciation for diversity among River Haven clients and support their connection to culturally responsive and culturally specific services as requested.
  • Document client services in electronic health records within 72 hours.
    If you are a CADC II:
    
    • Supervise practicum students when needed.
      Requirements:
      
      • Must have High School Diploma or GED, advanced degree preferred.
      • The following requirements for CADC:
        • SUDS Counselor I requires CADC I
        • SUDS Counselor II requires CADC II
        • Must have BLS/CPR training and certification prior to start.
        • Must have experience working in chemical dependency treatment, preferably with outpatient adults who have been adjudicated to treatment and/or people with co-occurring mental health disorders.
        • Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge and skills in group facilitation.
