Central City Concern is hiring an HR Shared Services Specialist to join our team!

The HR Shared Services Specialist (HRSSS) provides employee experience-focused, responsive and consistent HR services to managers, employees, and stakeholders. The HRSSS operates as the first point of contact for all HR-related questions and supports employee life-cycle processes, programs and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide day-to-day support to employee and manager populations on a vast array of HR-related inquiries, emails, and cases leveraging our HR Central ticketing system
  • Serve as front-line support for employee life cycle processes and programs, with consistency
  • Take ownership of inquiries ensuring accurate, prompt, and consistent resolution or redistribution by following established channels and exceeding expectations of a positive employee experience
  • Post opportunities for employment on CCC's website and with all internal and external sources according to CCC guidelines, Manager's request, and union contract stipulations in a timely manner
  • Responsible for efficient new employee onboarding: conduct pre-employment screenings including background checks, drug testing, and gathering of appropriate documents as well as new employee orientation from a diverse population of employees
  • Responsible for verifying that all new and transferring employees have met pre-employment screening requirements in a timely manner before beginning work
  • Responsible for adequate new hire documentation for personnel files
  • Maintain superior knowledge of HRSS resources, business processes, and standard operating procedure
  • Manage HR data in Ultimate Software, including support of electronic files, reporting, and audit activities
  • Provide support for other HR programs including but not limited to Health & Wellness Benefits, Leave of Absence, Learning, and Development, Employment Verification
  • Partner with other internal departments such as HRIS, Payroll, Finance, IT, Security, Benefits, and Stock Services to ensure data accuracy and drive employee experience through continuous improvement
  • Perform Learning Management System administrative duties
    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    • Organizational skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
    • Comfort communicating with and supporting employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and maintain confidential and highly sensitive information.
    • Completing numerous tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines/SLAs is required.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint) required the ability to work independently.
      QUALIFICATIONS:
      • High school diploma or completion of G.E.D. Human Resource Management degree or certificate preferred
      • Minimum 2 years of HR experience, preferably in various HR disciplines
      • At least 1 year of experience is preferred in an HR Shared Services/centralized customer service environment
      • Proficiency in Ultimate Software or comparable Human Capital Management system
      • Experience with Learning Management System administration preferred
      • Must adhere to the agency's non-discrimination policies
