Our client is hiring a Workplace Designer for their team in
Beaverton, Oregon. As a Workplace Designer you will support the
Workplace Design Director and work across multiple delivery streams
in geographic and global capacities to help define internal and
external processes, collaborate with strategic partners, and lead
project-specific design with external partners. While based out of
Beaverton, this role will require some travel.
Our team continues to leverage critical design-thinking, industry
trends, and key partnerships to elevate the workplace experience.
This team will serve as an enterprise catalyst under the COO,
helping to drive change, strengthen its global operations and
accelerate progress toward key objectives and purpose-driven
mission. Our Design team is composed of idea-makers, storytellers
and builders that lead with a creative curiosity to drive how we
experience our environments and influence branded experiences. They
direct and manage the overall design execution of an integrated
project delivery model. They are design fundamentalists who
approach projects with rational and innovative mindsets that extend
strategic design specific frameworks that inform business
opportunities without losing sight of why, how and what we aspire
to look, feel and communicate through immersive experiences.
Define project-level design vision and employee experience journey,
aligned with Creative Direction + Employee Experience
Responsible for identifying and leading external design partners
from project initiation through completion.
Provide design oversight and recommendations, including
architectural performance, FFE selection, and branding.
Collaborate with broader cross-functional delivery team to balance
needs of Real Estate, Program Management, Workplace Experience,
Food Services, Security, Technology and Brand.
Design, among others, to execute holistic strategy for
Manage execution of multiple projects running in parallel.
Direct report to the Americas Environments Design Director; inform
and provide real time updates on projects.
Advanced industry knowledge of design and construction project
delivery across all phases (programming, concept, SD/DD/CD,
Demonstrating a solid foundation of industry best-practices,
construction means and methods, procurement process.
Strong design talent demonstrated through completed work examples
knowledge of current trends, innovative materials, furniture,
Passion for current design topics including sustainability, health
& wellness, and the future of workplace design.
Demonstration of multi-disciplinary, accelerated design projects
with a strong concept/inspiration for clients with a strong brand
Ability to manage internal and external partners with clear,
organized communication; comfortable elevating strategic concerns
to senior management in a timely manner.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiples disciplines,
groups, and geographies.
Proven ability to gain buy-in for complex and integrated programs
while being a creative visionary for fully immersive environments
and experiences via:
Strong verbal and written communications skills, including meeting
Exceptional presentation skills, including content creation for
Strong storytelling capabilities: providing appropriate business,
design, consumer and cultural context that lie behind the
Strong ability to process non-linear direction and develop clear
direction towards an actionable workplan.
5-8 years of experience in Architecture or Interior Design, with
strong industry knowledge related to workplace design and strategy;
experience with environmental graphic design/branded environments
is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Sketch-Up,
Keynote, AutoCad, Revit, PowerPoint, Bluebeam Studio.
Approximately 15% travel (pending pandemic travel restrictions).
