And, we do this in a culture where bold thinking, teamwork, growth and community involvement are recognized and rewarded.Job Description Summary:Maxim Integrated is looking for an experienced Facilities Mechanical Engineer to support our Beaverton, Oregon semiconductor plant. Candidate will provide mechanical operations support, engineering design and project oversight for a multitude of facilities projects involving HVAC, chillers, process cooling water, ultra pure water (UPW), reheat water, wastewater discharge, acid fume scrubbers, VOC abatement, process gases, CDA, corrosive chemicals, etc.Job Description:Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:Develop project outline to modify building to meet requirements.Prepare detailed mechanical designs and scopes-of-work for a wide variety of projects ranging from TI in office buildings to fab construction (Class 1 or better).Prepare plans, schedules and cost estimates.Prepare bid documents.Solicit bids, conduct job walks, receive and evaluate bids.Prepare purchase requests, ROI calculations, and executive summaries.Submit proposals.Prepare and stamp drawings for city submittals.Interface with various governmental agencies.Coordinate contractors and city inspections.Prepare punch lists and ensure contractors complete all work on schedule.Prepare permit applications and reports as required for compliance with all applicable laws.Review existing mechanical systems and recommend improvements to save natural resources.Work with various entities to receive conservation rebates for energy, water, etc.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 10-15 years of experience.A registered PE in State of Oregon is not mandatory, but it is a definite plus.Current knowledge of energy-efficient approaches in HVAC, water conservation, and lighting.Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and understanding the English language.Good computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in ACAD, Excel and Word.Must have good people skills, be able to multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced, fluid environment.Must be quality and safety oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.Education:BachelorsWork Experience:Non - ManagerPay Rate Type:SalaryEligible for Relocation: YesEligible for Work Visa Sponsorship: YesThis position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations; including but not limited to US Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), or US Treasury Regulations.
