The RF Electrical Engineering Sr. Manager is the leader of a team of electrical engineers developing and validating next-generation RF and mmWave wafer probe products and adapting existing products to meet demanding customer needs. This role actively and directly contributes to product architecture and design.They collaborate closely with related disciplines including:Mechanical and Process engineering to jointly develop products that meet electrical and mechanical performance targets and cost targets; Operations to ensure that RF products are manufacturable and testable; and Marketing to define products and product roadmaps which meet future market needs. Their team helps set layout best practices and uses advanced simulation and modeling to provide guidance to production layout techs as needed. The RF Electrical Engineering Sr. Manager interacts directly with FormFactor's customers on prospective and active projects. This individual has direct management responsibility for the RF EE group including work assignments and personnel management, budgeting and expense tracking, and selection and maintenance of the software (CAD and simulation) and metrology toolset.ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIESLeads engineering team developing next generation RF and mmWave wafer probe products.Participates directly in short and long-term product development efforts to meet product electrical performance targets. Works collaboratively with corporate R&D, mechanical and process engineering peers, internal customers, and management.Participates in the feasibility analysis and execution of complex RF/mmWave product orders. Collaborates closely with Operations to ensure that future products developed are buildable and testable.Works with factory teams to qualify new layout design rules, electrical components, and external vendors.Manages and develops the Electrical Engineering team, including hiring responsibilitySelects EE simulation and CAD tools, RF metrology tools and justifies their purchase.Manages cost center expenses and budgeting, including participation in annual budgeting cycle.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREDBS in Electrical Engineering or Physics, Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in RF mmWave products. Probe card, final test, or IC packaging experience a plus.Strong working knowledge of RF engineering principles, design methodologies, and CAD/CAE tools. Working knowledge of RF measurement techniques and calibration.Familiarity with SI/PI analysisExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMinimum of 4 years of experience in a technical management role.Demonstrated success mentoring junior team members.
