Soldering Assembler to join a long-standing leader in the
electromagnetic industry. This SE Portland manufacturer has spent
decades providing custom technology solutions to a global community
and is looking for reliable team members to help continue their
legacy of quality. About the Opportunity In this role, you will be
part of a precision-focused team creating custom components like
coils, transformers, and solenoids. This is an excellent
opportunity for someone who enjoys technical, hands-on
work—combining traditional hand-winding techniques with modern
machinery to produce high-quality electronic parts. Schedule &
Compensation Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Enjoy your
afternoons and weekends off!) Location: SE Portland, OR (public
transit accessible!) Pay Range: $18 - $20.00/hour to start (DOE)
Key Responsibilities Manufacturing & Assembly: Perform all aspects
of production, including hand-winding and machine-winding of coils.
Soldering: Execute precise hand-soldering and dip-soldering tasks.
Precision Work: Measure and cut wire/tape accurately; work with
fine wires using magnifying glasses for detailed assembly. Quality
Control: Perform visual inspections of finished products to ensure
they meet strict quality standards. Documentation: Read and follow
detailed written instructions and maintain accurate production
records. Job Requirements Experience: At least 6 months of recent
soldering experience and 1 year production experience in a
manufacturing environment. Dexterity: Excellent eye/hand
coordination and the ability to distinguish colors. Physical
Ability: Must be able to sit for entire shift at one or a few
different stations and lift up to 35lbs if needed. Technical
Skills: Ability to perform basic mental math and navigate basic
computer systems. Communication: Must be able to speak, read, and
write in English for workplace safety and instruction following.
Preferred Skills IPC Certification Experience in magnetic
manufacturing or specific coil-winding expertise. Previous
experience working with fine wire (35-41 AWG). Final inspection
experience. You should be proficient in: Soldering
