Job Description:
Sysco, a global leader in the food distribution industry, is
seeking a dedicated Day Transportation Supervisor with a valid
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to enhance our transportation
operations. In this role, you will oversee the daily activities of
our fleet, ensuring safe, efficient delivery of food products to
our valued customers in restaurants, healthcare, educational
facilities, and hospitality businesses. Your leadership will help
maintain Sysco's reputation for timely delivery and customer
satisfaction, driving our success in the competitive market.
Oversee the scheduling, routing, and dispatching of our fleet on a
daily basis. Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal
regulations concerning transportation and driver operations. Ensure
all drivers meet or exceed Sysco’s safety and operational
standards. Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections,
maintenance, and repair schedules. Lead, train, and develop a team
of drivers to improve performance and efficiency. Address and
resolve any issues related to transportation logistics, customer
complaints or driver concerns in a timely manner. Collaborate with
other departments to optimize logistics and supply chain
strategies. Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent
organizational and time management skills Proficient in using
transportation management software and systems In-depth knowledge
of DOT regulations and safety standards Ability to resolve
conflicts and handle stress effectively Medical Insurance Dental
