Sysco, a global leader in the food service industry, is currently seeking dedicated and reliable Local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of food and related products to our diverse range of clients including restaurants, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction through consistent and professional delivery service. Operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck in accordance with Sysco's delivery procedures. Safely transport and deliver goods while complying with all DOT regulations and safety standards. Manage proof of delivery paperwork from customers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle, ensuring safe operational conditions. Coordinate with the logistics team to manage delivery schedules and routes. Assist in the loading and unloading of truck, including handling of food products and supplies. Maintain communication with management to report any delays or discrepancies encountered on route. Ensure that service levels and targets are met as per organizational standards. Ability to operate and handle equipment necessary for loading and unloading. Strong organizational and time management skills. Capability to maintain accurate logs and records. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with delivery routes. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
