WHAT YOU WILL BRING?+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another relevant field; or equivalent combination of education and experience and training+ Proven experience crafting front end or back end software systems+ Owned implementation and testing plan for software systems of significant size+ Shown expertise in designing and developing scalable, maintainable, performant and resilient applications, microservices and RESTful services+ Deep understanding of cloud technologies and design patterns for building robust services with 99.9% uptime+ Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure+ Shown experience using SQL RDBMS and tuning SQL+ Experience using MongoDB and other No-SQL databases+ Hands-on experience with Java, Kafka, Js+ Familiarity with implementing dashboards using Splunk or metrics using New Relic+ Knowledgeable with version control systems (Git) and issue tracking tools (JIRA)+ Experience with CD/CI and related tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.)+ A track record of solving problems and getting things done in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment+ Retail industry experience is a nice bonusWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Changing the way we make products through digital experiences is what Product Creation is all about. This role will also partner with architects and principal engineers to help establish a technical vision and deliver innovative services which are consistent, maintainable, and highly scalable for various Nike experiences. In this role, you will lead technical design and architecture discussions to ensure an integrated development process working with our business and multi-functional engineering partners in Line Planning and Merchandising, Design, and Manufacturing.The ideal candidate is an expert software engineering lead who has a deep technical understanding and can translate sophisticated business concepts that enable tech teams to design, build, and scale solutions in support of Nike's strategic goals.WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?+ Serve as a Lead Software Engineer to direct and mentor a team in development initiatives from end to end+ Ownership of design, development, testing, troubleshooting, metric sand optimization of software systems and libraries+ Articulate differences among architectural options (pros and cons)+ Partner with multiple teams to design, implement, deploy and test software+ Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering Leaders to define requirements and identify deficiencies and offer solutions+ Support Product Creation teams to resolve time-critical production support issues+ Promote and practice continuous learning+ Use appropriate and current programming skills and technologies to write code and tests to meet business requirements+ Communicate clearly with your team and management to define and achieve goals+ Dedication to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews+ Help craft and direct a team of productive, collaborative, and innovative engineers building business critical software that will unlock the full potential of the enterprise.+ Establish and implement best practices across an engineering team to ensure high quality and consistent agile delivery.NIKE, Inc. is committed to employing a diverse workforce.
