Radiation Therapist Location: Salem, OR Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,898 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiation Oncology Therapist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Radiation Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of one year of Radiation Therapy experience License: State licensure required Certifications: ARRT National Radiology, Basic Life Support Must-Have: Experience with Varian TrueBeam or Edge, Aria Description: Shifts between 6 am and 7 pm, Monday through Friday. 40 hours per week. No call required. Simulate and administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed. Interpret the prescription and treatment plan. Complete patient identification processes per department procedures. Maintain audio and visual surveillance of the patient during treatment. Consistently and accurately position the patient for treatment. Image patients as directed by the Radiation Oncologist. Consistently and accurately annotate portal images as appropriate. Observe patients for side effects of radiation or unusual reactions. Report observations to the Radiation Oncologist, nurse, or supervisor. Document treatment position and tattoos or field borders on the patient’s skin. Safely transfer patients from stretchers or wheelchairs. Perform simple calculations for emergency treatments. Construct quality immobilization devices for reproducible patient positioning. Accurately tattoo patients as appropriate and practice safe handling of needles. Participate in daily chart rounds to coordinate patient care. Complete chart checks per department policy. Complete weekly cleaning and document appropriately. Accurately fabricate custom blocks. Coordinate simulation to support continuity of care. Fast-paced environment treating 70-95 patients per day on three treatment machines. Special knowledge, skills, and abilities: Basic operations of linear accelerators preferred. Knowledge of SBRT, SRS, and Breathhold Visual Management. Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging and calculating dose distribution. Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
