Technician / Technologist Location: Portland, OR Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $1,920 to $2,080 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position This is for a Bone Density Technologist Pay Rate: $48.00 - $52.00/Hourly. Bone density exam experience is a hardstop requirement for this job and experience must be current and proficient. Summary: The DEXA Technician is responsible for performing Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) scans to assess bone mineral density and body composition. The technician ensures accurate imaging, patient safety, and compliance with radiation safety standards while delivering high-quality patient care. Locals accepted at lower rate Responsibilities: ?Perform DEXA scans to evaluate bone mineral density and body composition. Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging procedures. Explain procedures to patients and address concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation. Operate and maintain DEXA scanning equipment according to manufacturer guidelines. Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and infection control protocols. Accurately document and input patient data into electronic medical records (EMR). Requirements Requirements: 1 - Year experience Required, Epic experience Preferred, ARRT (R) Certification, ARRT - Bone Densitometry, OBMI, Locals accepted at lower rate.
