Job Description:
Legacy Health, a pioneering non-profit health system in Oregon
and Washington with extensive networks of care, seeks a dedicated
Coordinator of Mechanical Circulatory Support to join our esteemed
team. This pivotal role is centered at the heart of our advanced
cardiovascular services, directly managing and optimizing care
delivery related to mechanical circulatory support devices (MCSDs)
including ventricular assist devices (VADs) and total artificial
hearts (TAHs). As the key liaison among multidisciplinary teams,
the coordinator ensures comprehensive patient care from
pre-implantation through to long-term follow-up, striving for the
highest standards in patient outcomes and quality of life.
Coordinate patient care activities related to mechanical
circulatory support devices across multiple departments. Develop
and implement care protocols and guidelines in accordance with
latest clinical practices and technological advancements. Provide
education and training to staff on the appropriate care of patients
with MCSDs. Monitor patient outcomes, collect data, and report on
performance metrics to improve service quality continuously.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless
patient experiences from pre-implantation through ongoing care.
Engage with patients and their families to provide detailed
education and support regarding their treatment plans. Strong
knowledge of mechanical circulatory support devices Excellent
organizational and communication skills Ability to lead and educate
multidisciplinary teams Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills Proficient in clinical software and patient data management

Insurance 401k Certification in Cardiac Vascular Nursing (RN-BC)
Certification as a Clinical Specialist in Adult Cardiac Medicine
(CSC) preferred
