International Health and Medical Services is looking for an
experienced Advanced Practice Provider to deliver high-quality
medical care, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment
planning for individuals with a variety of health concerns. This
role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure
comprehensive care, patient advocacy, and adherence to regulatory
standards within the facility. Key Responsibilities A physician
assistant or nurse practitioner who practices in conformance with
established criteria, guidelines, and agency procedures. Efforts
are directed toward the enhancement of the physical, emotional, and
social well-being of individuals. Provides health care of a scope,
quality, and quantity consistent with agency and policies. Performs
comprehensive history and physical evaluations, behavioral health
care, and minor outpatient surgical procedures for patients as
required by client policy, or as required for patient medical
complaint. Coordinates health care needs of patients including
referrals to off-site consultants. Takes appropriate infection
control actions in accordance with client policy and guidance.
Completes all training as required/assigned. Attends on-site,
regional, and national meetings as required. Participates in the
APP Peer Review process. Provides direct care to patients via
scheduled appointments, emergency, or urgent care visits. Consults
with the physician / Clinical Director for complex medical and/or
psychiatric patients and as required by client policy. Provides
infirmary care including admission, discharge, and daily rounds for
patients that require higher levels of medical care or monitoring.
Works within and performs functions as outlined in the client
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Scope of Practice and the
Controlled Prescribing Scope of Practice for APPs. Applies
knowledge of drugs and therapeutics when prescribing medication.
Interprets diagnostic and laboratory results. Interprets Tuberculin
skin tests (TSTs) and diagnostic studies, manages Direct
Observation Therapy (DOT) for treatment of active or latent
tuberculosis. Adheres to universal precautions and properly
disposes of all sharps. May serve as medical escort of patients as
needed, for domestic/overseas travel. Utilizes and documents
interpretation and/or translation and/or assisted communication
services as needed to ensure ability to communicate with patients
or others who are Limited English Proficient (LEP) or have a
communication disability or impediment. Maintains flexibility and
adaptability to sudden changes in schedules and work requirements.
Provides relevant patient health education to patients verbally
and/or with handouts. Documents patient care visits in the required
health record using required format, in compliance with client
policy and guidance. Maintains patient confidentiality and
confidentiality of medical records. Completes all training as
required/assigned. Serves as Acting Senior Supervisory APP or
Acting Regional APP. Facilitates and mentors APP onboarding and
training. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be

listed above. Qualifications Basic Requirements/Certifications:
Must possess a current, unrestricted licensed in Oregon Four 4
years of full-time clinical experience as a PA or NP required or
approval of the client Medical Director. American Heart Association
(AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS). Physician Assistant (PA) - An
accredited bachelor's or master's degree is required. Must have
completed a physician assistant training program accredited by the
Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician
Assistant (ARC-PA), national certification through the National
Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Nurse
Practitioner (NP) - Must possess a certified advance practice nurse
practitioner degree from a graduate school training program
approved for this qualifying degree. National board certification
through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (APRN) or the
American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC)required. Employees shall
have at least one year of general experience that demonstrates the
following: The ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public.
Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders,
rules, and regulations. All personnel shall be literate and be able
to interpret printed rules and regulations, detailed written
orders, training instructions and materials, and must be able to
compose reports. Good judgment, courage, alertness, an even
temperament, and render satisfactory performance through knowledge
of his/her position responsibilities. Ability to maintain poise and
self-control during situations that involve mental stress, such as
fires, explosions, civil disturbances, and building evacuations.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and/or
experience with client policies, NCCHC and PBNDS requirements.
Knowledge of public health preparedness, infection control and TB
management ACLS certification. Physical Requirements: This position
is considered hazardous duty. Required to walk unaided at a normal
pace for up to 5 minutes and maintain balance. Required to jog/fast
walk up to ¼ mile. Requires physical exertion such as lifting
objects greater than 30 pounds. Required to perform CPR/emergency
care standing or kneeling. Must have the ability to assist sick,
injured, or aging patients or staff exiting the building (may
require lifting, dragging, wheeling, or carrying someone who weighs
significantly more than self). Must be able to see, hear and smell
with aids if necessary. Must be able to lift, push, or carry 30
pounds. Must perform the duties of my job in a stressful and often
austere environment without physical limitations. Sitting and/or
standing for extended periods of time. Average manual dexterity for
computer operation. Phone or computer use for extended periods of
time. Other Special Qualifications: Minimum of 21 years of age.
Must maintain current/physical residency in the continental U.S.
Pass a medical examination conducted by a licensed physician within
30 days prior to initial assignment. Be a U.S. citizen or a person
lawfully admitted into the U.S. for permanent residence. Have
resided in the U.S. for the last five years (unless abroad on
official U.S. government duty). Successfully engage in and complete
a thorough Background Investigation. Poses or have ability to
obtain required security clearances. Proficiency in Spanish is
preferred. Additional Information Pay range is based on several
factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical,
financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be
determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills,
internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
