Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Support surgical teams in a vital role preparing operating rooms and assisting during procedures in Tygh Valley, OR. This contract opportunity involves maintaining sterile fields, handling instruments, and ensuring the operating room is ready and efficient for each case. Key Responsibilities: Prepare surgical cases by assembling and maintaining sterile fields Pass instruments, supplies, and medications to surgeons during operations Ensure all equipment and supplies are checked and ready before cases begin Perform sponge, needle, and blade counts with the Registered Nurse to meet safety standards Clean equipment and surgical areas as needed Transport patients in accordance with unit schedules Maintain accurate records and assist with clerical duties as required Observe aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols strictly Qualifications and Certifications: Completion of an accredited surgical technology program (required) Surgical Technician certification (required) CPR or Basic Life Support certification such as AHA-BLS, ARC-BLS, or equivalent (required) Preferred: High school diploma or GED, Associates or technical degree, scrub technician experience, operating room training, and CNA certification This contract role supports a healthcare organization committed to safety, requiring all associates to meet vaccination mandates with medical or religious exemptions considered.
