Description: Perm candidates from any other facility are eligible
for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3
months. First-time travelers are accepted. A minimum of 2 years of
experience is required. Call response time is 30 minutes from being
called. Basic bread-and-butter scans are provided along with stroke
and cardiac services. This is a freestanding emergency department
with outpatient and primary care services. Outpatient services
operate until 8 PM, after which only emergency department services
are available until 7 AM. The scope of x-ray services includes
extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and
musculoskeletal studies. Preferred skills include enema studies,
surgical c-arm use, and familiarity with Shimatzu x-ray equipment.
Candidates must be prepared to work as independent practitioners
who can provide excellent customer service. Patient age groups
include pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Required
skills include the preparation and administration of contrast media
as well as starting peripheral IVs. Special procedures expected of
candidates include brain perfusion, coronary CTA, CT arthrography,
myelography, transplant studies, and vascular CTA. Candidates
should have experience with abdomen and pelvic scans, as well as
chest, head, and neck imaging with and without contrast.
Familiarity with multiplanar reconstruction image display and
post-processing is preferred. Experience with GE equipment and PACS
is required. Daily census expectations are approximately 20 CT and
15 X-rays. Candidates should be prepared to meet the facility's
