Job Description:
Job Summary: In addition to providing diagnostic services in a
hospital and/or clinic setting, provides a leadership role; is
responsible for the continuance of daily operations and assist in
resolving problems with staff, equipment, and delivery of patient
services. To maintain standards of patient care and work quality
that promotes team concepts and reflects KPNW mission and
philosophy. Essential Responsibilities: - Performing diagnostic
procedures, using knowledge, skills and abilities required for age
of patient served to include: Routine, emergent, portable, surgical
examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Coordinate daily activities of department to ensure proper work
flow and quality of care is met to include scheduling of patients
and staff. Ensure lateral staff communication/coordination with
radiologists/cardiologists. Internal/External problem solving to
include patient and staff concerns at first level. Coordinates
employee in-service/orientation/training and department meetings to
comply with staff/federal/local law for facility and staff needs.
Maintain and order supplies. Assist Supervisor. Other (as
assigned). Participate in on-call or standby schedule as assigned.
- Assist patient/transport. - Data Entry. File work. Restocking
supplies/cleaning. Quality Assurance functions. Other duties as
assigned. - Variable - Participates in on-call or standby schedule
as required. Basic Qualifications: Experience - N/A Education - A
minimum two (2) years of AMA approved program and successful
completion of one (1) year Ultrasound training and certification,
ORTwo (2) years Allied Health and successful completion and
certification of two (2) years ARDMS program, ORSuccessful
completion of an AMA accredited Ultrasound program, ARDMS
registered or CardioVascular Credentialing International (CCI) (new
grads within one (1) year of hire for registration).High School
Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License,
Certification, Registration - Registered Cardiac Sonographer
Certificate from Cardiovascular Credentialing International OR
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate from American
Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers - Sonography
Technologist License (Oregon) - Basic Life Support within 1 months
of hire Additional Requirements: - Completion of a formal training
program. Preferred Qualifications: - Organizational skills, time
management, prioritization, planning; attention to detail; problem
solving, decision making, judgment; technical skills; initiative;
communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations,
organizational relations. - Adaptability; following Policies and
Procedures; flexibility. - Able to work unsupervised and perform
