Job Description:
Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology
Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year preferred as RT, RDMS, or CNMT
License: Must be licensed with the state board as a licensed
practitioner of MRI (temporary license is acceptable)
Certifications: Must have BLS from the American Heart Association
required within 90 days of hire Must-Have: Must have MRI credential
through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or
the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
(AMRIT) Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred Must be capable
of operating state-of-the-art MRI equipment and computer systems
Must have good interpersonal communication skills, appropriate
manner, conduct, and grooming Must have the ability to hold in
confidence any information about patients, personnel, or other
information of a confidential nature Description: 36 hours per week
for a 13 week period This position requires the candidate to have
an MRI credential through the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance
Imaging Technologists (AMRIT). Education requirements include a
Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred. Candidates must have at
least 1 year of experience as RT, RDMS, or CNMT preferred.
Licensure requires a current license with the state board as a
practitioner of MRI; a temporary license is acceptable. BLS
certification from the American Heart Association must be obtained
within 90 days of hire. The candidate must be capable of operating
advanced MRI equipment and computer systems, film processors, and
other technical supportive devices. Interpersonal communication
skills are essential, along with a professional manner, conduct,
and grooming. Confidentiality regarding any patient or personnel
information is critical.
