*Overview*The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and of those who require surgery both emergent and elective. Medical Surgical patients are given the highest standards of professional care by registered nurses and nurse assistants. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported.*Responsibilities** Assessing patient condition and noting it accurately according to the facilitys charting practices* Safely administering medication based on medical orders* Compassionately communicating with patients and family members* Operating common medical equipment in accordance with care plans and manufacturers instructions* Running or ordering diagnostic tests* Paying attention to detail and staying organized when managing patient care and recordkeeping* Understanding applicable state regulations and following compliance practices*Requirements** One (1) year experience in Med/Surg unit required* Current unencumbered Oregon RN license* Current BLS, ACLS and NIHSSJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $64.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* Medical-SurgicalWork Location: In personby Jobble
