facility, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and certified as
an accredited Chest Pain Center by ACC Accreditation Services, the
accrediting arm of the American College of Cardiology. We also

Institute, a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient Surgical

Minimum -Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered, RN license in the state of
Oregon
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, master's degree
preferred
- Minimum of two years previous leadership experience in
healthcare
- Minimum of four years acute care experience required
- BLS certification within three months of hire required
- ACLS, PALS, and other related certifications highly
encouraged

Essential Job Functions:
- Implements the leadership responsibilities for routine,
critical and or emergency situations and manages all issues timely
and efficiently
- Ensures desired patient status and health outcomes through the
management of nursing staff, equipment, supplies and work
organization while remaining fiscally responsible
- Acts as a liaison between the physicians, providers, nurses,
ancillary personnel, administration, vendors and various inpatient
and outpatient departments
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and practice standards
including those outlined by OHA, TJC, CMS and any other regulatory
body
- Manages equipment used on the unit including sequestering
faulty equipment and follow up with vendors, Biomed and maintains a
close relationship with materials management
- Stewards' resources in an effort to efficiently review par
levels, expirations and other needs of the department
- Ensures completion of all quality programs, logs, audits and
documentation throughout the department
- Manages department budgets, productivity, capital request and
expenditures while remaining financially aware and fiscally
responsible
- Makes decisions by applying comprehensive clinical knowledge
regarding acute care standards to ensure optimum utilization of
rooms, resources, scheduling, patient flow and staffing
management
- Remains adept at understanding and implementing the ONA
Collective Bargaining agreement
- Develops and revises policies and procedures based on clinical
best practices and current industry standards
- Serves as an expert, and clinical resource, to the departments
and promotes education and development of staff including effective
orientation and onboarding of new employees
- Identifies and implements performance improvement projects
based on the needs of the department and in direct support of the
hospital's mission and strategic plan
- Participates in hospital-wide committees, and has the ability
to prepare and clearly present data and reports to committee
members and the board as needed
- Manages staff including appropriate performance evaluations,
accurate timekeeping, payroll entries, discipline, growth and
supports retention and recruitment processes
