Job Description:
The position of Heath and Safety Programs Manager will be based
out of our Beaverton, OR location! (Hybrid)
Summary
The Health and Safety Programs Manager is responsible for managing
Rexel USA's Health and Safety programs, including Health and Safety
training, Health and Safety Compliance including OSHA and other
governmental agencies, Health and Safety practices in Rexel
facilities, and monitoring of outside Health and Safety audit
providers.
What You'll Do
Assist senior management with identifying employee safety,
regulatory compliance or process safety issues and developing
appropriate loss prevention and compliance procedures.
Develop and implement, Health and Safety Training courses for all
employees based on their job codes and essential duties. This will
include management of courses using LMS for online training as well
as onsite training when required.
Conduct various Hazard assessments related to the facilities work
practices, equipment used and assess requirements related to PPE,
equipment, and vehicle inspections.
Manage Compliance for OSHA, DOT, EPA and other Federal Agencies
when required.
Provide input from a Health and Safety perspective regarding
emergency preparedness and response
Provide support and guidance as it relates to Covid-19 response,
follow developments from the CDC and other Federal and Local State
Governments relating to rules and procedures at the company
locations.
Provide accurate and meaningful Safety statistics to Rexel Group,
Rexel USA, its regions, and businesses as it relates to key Safety
indicators such as TRIR and LTIR.
Develop with Regional Operational Leadership specific Safety plans
for each region within the USA. Provide guidance and oversite of
programs to improve safety performance using data driven analysis,
root cause analysis, and governing trends.
Provide support to and maintain the records for various Safety
related Audit companies such as IS Networld, Avetta and
Veriforce.

What You'll Need
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
10+ years of experience in Health and Safety management for a large
multi-site employer
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Thorough knowledge of Health and Safety principles and best
practices
Must a be a self-starter and critical thinker
Understanding of key Health and Safety regulatory requirements
Must be able to devise clear and concise training materials for
employees
Good project management skills
