Job Description:
Tektronix-Component Solutions (CSO) is specifically focused on
our unique capabilities of microelectronics design, packaging, and
test. Built to originally support our parent company, we are now
looking to grow in the market. This growth requires a strong
Business Development Manager to join us and help us broaden our
portfolio.
This includes creating account/market plans with strategy to expand
in the market, cold calling- utilizing prospecting tools and
actions, marketing, and bringing in the business. An execution team
will then take over to manage the customer allowing the Business
Development Manager to focus on the next opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Proactively find leads from new and current customers in target
markets
Contact potential customers through cold calls, visits and
emails
Lead revenue forecasting through market and business tactics
Sell the value proposition and capabilities for CSO
Provide growth opportunities based on market feedback- products,
services, etc.
Work with Marketing to provide support on marketing material
(webinars, training sessions, shows, etc.)
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Sales
teams.
Pursue a deep understanding of user and customer needs through
research and data analysis.
Analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities and create
compelling presentations to open doors and build credibility.
Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in a similar role
Experience working with Defense Prime Contractors or the
Government.
Strong sales hunting skills with proven track record with the
ability to identify and expand into new customers/markets.
Ability to connect and sell solutions to key leaders in
engineering, purchasing and other influential leaders to establish
new business for CSO.
Excellent communication & listening skills.
Negotiation skills.
Solid base in marketing fundamentals, including pricing,
positioning, articulating value propositions, building a
differentiated strategy, understanding customer needs, and
more.
Strong presentation, analytical, interpersonal and business
relationship building skills.
Collaboration - the ability to work well in a team to solve complex
challenges.
Ability to organize, prioritize and complete sophisticated tasks in
a timely manner.
Additional desired skills and experience:
MBA and/or Marketing Degree
Technical selling and/or support experience.
This position's primary/essential functions are subject to U.S.
Government ITAR compliance requirements under current government
contracts. Therefore, all employees in this position must be
either: 1) a U.S. citizen, permanent resident (green card holder)
or refugee/asylee or 2) must be willing to allow or cooperate with
the company in applying for a U.S. government license, if
necessary. Continued employment is contingent on the U.S.
government approving such license, but Tektronix encourages all

National: The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales
incentives/commission) is $95,800- $178,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including,
but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and
other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total
Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to

insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts,
retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs,
and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time
away from work.
