WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for a Digital Applied
Analytics Director in Product Merch & Planning for the North
America geography. The continued success of our Digital
Direct-to-consumer business hinges on the ability of this role to
lead a strong team that extracts and delivers useful insights for
our Product Merchandising & Planning business teams. The ideal
candidate will be passionate about understanding digital consumer
behaviors, enjoy working with large data sets, and gifted at
translating sophisticated analytics into concise stories &
recommendations for the business. This role is ideal if you are
curious, comfortable working in a dynamic and fast paced
environment and relish the opportunity to work multi-functionally
to answer complicated business questions. If you are attuned to
trends related to digital retail businesses and how to best
integrate data-driven findings into product merchandising and
planning processes, this role is for you! We are looking for
someone with the ability & desire to lead, develop, coach, and
inspire their team and peers! What you will work on Your day-to-day
work will involve leading a team of "data detectives" and consumer
advocates for our Digital Business. You'll partner with our digital
leadership to deliver product insights and recommendations to help
serve our consumers the right product, at the right moment on our
digital platforms. A typical day includes:
- Using large consumer data sets to extract useful product and
merchandising insights to inform key business decisions for Nike's
Digital business, both in strategic upstream planning moments and
in-season optimizations.
- Analyzing basket composition, inventory health, promotional
effectiveness, franchise sell-through, omnichannel shopping
behaviors and long-term consumer preferences and value
- Being wired into the day-to-day performance management of the
business and responsible for business partner relationships &
communications
- Working with business teams and peer analytics groups (both
within the North America geography and across our global
organization), with a focus on streamlining our "Insights
Extraction & Application" operating model
- Serving as a visible leader, actively coaching the team and
guiding prioritization & trade-off decisions. Who you will work
with Collaborating with the Sr. Director of North America Direct
Digital Commerce Analytics, you will sit within the centralized
Analytics & Insights function and serve as a Digital Analytics
leader and subject matter authority. This highly visible role will
have you closely collaborating with Digital business leaders to
help them build, deliver, & optimize best-in-class digital retail
experiences. You'll also partner closely with multi-functional
analytics team to create a well-rounded understanding of our
consumers and implement scalable insights to drive consumer
engagement and growth in North America. What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, statistics,
computer science, econometrics, applied math, or a quantitative
behavioral sciences field or related field or equivalent
combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in SQL or similar experience analyzing large
structured and unstructured datasets required
- Ability to demystify measurement and translate data to
consumable, relatable and actionable insights
- Proven track record collaborating and working
cross-functionally with non-Analytics partners in a fast-paced
ecommerce environment
- Strong communication and influencing skills to champion our
consumer's needs, serving as an independent and unbiased "truth
seeker"
- Ability to influence critical business outcomes in a matrixed,
global environment
