Nike's Global Owned Platforms is looking for an Email Channel Marketing Manager to join the Global Member Communications teams. As a team, we play a meaningful role in Nike's digital acceleration and greater marketing personalization efforts. We are in search of a tried digital-first marketer who has both a strong, end-to-end understanding of email as a marketing channel; from the mar-tech that enables a program, to campaign creation and execution.

You will support in leading and evolving our global email strategy, working closely with all geographies (NA, EMEA, APLA, and GC). The role will focus on overall channel health, segmentation/targeting, and furthering our personalization capabilities of the platform - all with the consumer's experience at the forefront of every decision.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of their work, accept the journey instead of the destination, and approach the nuances of a marketing communications strategy with a steadfast curiosity. Nike is a highly matrixed organization, and this role will be cross-functional, requiring effective communication and collaboration.
The Email Channel Marketing Manager will help evolve how Nike leverages email as a marketing channel. You will be the go-to channel owner for global and geo marketing counterparts, advising those teams on new capabilities that are in the pipeline, standardizing methodologies for Creative/Design, and providing recommendations for segmentation/personalization.
Primary areas of focus:

  • Channel Evolution: You will be the go-to individual for Nike's global Email channel strategy, from crafting best practices to segmentation and targeting recommendations. This will be done through a consistent feedback loop with Geo counterparts to ensure that adoption of the global strategy is clear and concrete.
  • Personalization and Capabilities: Drive the end-to-end process of delivering new personalization capabilities - Clearly define the criteria in coordination with global technology, manage project development, and clearly communicate new capabilities to end users.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Analyze and measure overall channel health across all four Geo's tracking against key - craft a strong reporting process that should ladder into key annual planning achievements. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
    You will report to the Director of Member Communications, Email, but will work alongside many different teams. In addition to the greater Global Member Growth team, you will work closely with Consumer Direct Marketing, Lifecycle/Membership, Digital Product, Global Technology, Stores, Analytics, Privacy and our four Geographies.

    • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience working in CRM, email marketing or digital marketing or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
    • Experience defining engagement and retention strategies through email
    • Experience working with technical partners and engineering
    • Experience implementing and leading digital marketing communications
    • Experience working in large matrixed organizations
    • Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and communicate optimally with broad groups of partners and teammates
    • Technical knowledge of the latest email marketing tools and channels
    • Experience working with and actioning on data and insights
    • Strong project management skills
