Nike's Visualization Development is a growing team responsible for building data products using Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) such as Tableau and Cognos, web application, and mobile application to provide insights which lead to improved performance and accomplishment of strategic and/or operational goals in the commercial, planning, and consumer businesses.

As a member of Nike's Visualization Development team, you're someone who has a deep passion igniting business decisions and actions through data, for introducing new and meaningful visualization techniques, an eagerness to dig into the data, and a vision for how the technologies of business intelligence solutions can impact one the world's most prestigious brands.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a leader to guide and oversee development and execution of visual and self-service data products. The ideal candidate will have a Customer Centered design Vision and Strategy in order to create and evolve the design strategy across all product lines. Own UX design for the data analytics product as well as cross-site stakeholder experience from a design perspective. The ideal candidate will also excel in a cross-functional team environment and thrives in a fast-paced organization where there is an opportunity to make a positive impact.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

As the leader of this function you will partner closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to understand their business challenges and develop visualization solutions to address them. You'll own relationships with diverse business stakeholders and internal teams, such directors of product management and analytics leaders to understand current needs and anticipate future customer and business needs, understand requirements, and define relevant strategic questions as well as direct a portfolio of large, global analytics projects with multiple business stakeholders within firm deadlines and budgets/resources. You'll measure and improve adoption and user engagement of the visualization portfolio.

You'll develop and mentor an energetic, customer empathetic team of designers & visualization developers responsible for building and deepening a holistic view of Nike's commercial and consumers business through data and analytics, as well as building out practices, rituals and culture within Product Design in context of broader product development teams. You'll implement best practices and standards for all cycles of visual product development including requirements, prototyping, asset management and versioning, and documentation. You'll assess the business impact of different solutions and the trade-offs between customer needs, technology requirements, and costs.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

In this role, you'll work across multiple functions from senior leadership to product management, data science, and data engineering organizations to accelerate and leverage visualization strategies, data capabilities, and insights as part of the company's integrated data offense.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

--- Bachelor's degree in statistics, business, economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, research, or a related field. Master's degree (M.A., M.S. or MBA) in analytics, information technology, computer science, economics, statistics, engineering, research, or a related field is preferred.
--- 7+ years of relevant experience developing data products & reporting such as dashboards, data visualizations solutions, analytical reports, and self-service using Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), such as Tableau, Cognos, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, and web -and mobile applications.
--- High business acumen, with a passion for business reporting, analysis, and working with business intelligence tools and big data
--- Strong history of analytical leadership
--- In-depth experience in solving complex problems through data visualization and storytelling with data , including providing insights that are logical, data driven, simple to understand and aligned to business goals
--- Experience working hand-in-hand with key stakeholders (teams, portfolio managers, product or merchandising managers, leaders, etc.) to design and build data visualizations to support business performance and goals
--- Ability to develop strong partnerships across a multi-layered, fast moving, results-driven organization
--- A leader in user-centered design who can capture and communicate user needs, coach developers to promote these methods, and measure user experience for products developed while advancing the practice of continual process improvement
--- Expert in navigating complex business relationships while ensuring products are designed for optimal user experience and have measurable criteria for success
--- Expertise with visual analysis technologies such as Cognos, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, SAS, QlikView, JavaScript, or similar tools
--- Expertise in developing visualizations for web and mobile devices
--- Conceptual understanding in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS; MPP, Big Data and NoSQL technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Hive, MongoDB, HBase, or Cassandra
--- Strong understanding of various database management systems like Oracle, MySQL, Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server, or DB2, as well as proficiency in working with large data sets
--- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills - a visual and verbal storyteller who can guide and develop these skills across the team
