Job Description:
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Field
Service Engineer role based out of Clackamas, OR (with travel
required). Our client is a well-established industry leader known

Responsibilities: · Install, commission, and maintain field
equipment at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and
reliability. · Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical,
electrical, and software-related issues in a timely manner. ·
Perform routine preventative maintenance and system upgrades to
minimize downtime. · Provide on-site and remote technical support
to customers, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction. ·
Ensure customer satisfaction through positive, professional
interactions. · Accept assignments requiring both domestic and
international travel, sometimes on short notice. · Complete work to
customer satisfaction and obtain necessary approvals. · Adhere to
safety guidelines and company policies at all times. · Assist in
shop startups and provide technical phone support as needed. ·
Communicate effectively with the Field Service Manager and team
members regarding job progress and any issues. · Demonstrate strong
problem-solving skills and attention to detail. · Maintain
confidentiality and perform effectively under pressure to meet
deadlines. · Travel safely and efficiently by air and car to
customer locations. · Work with motion control applications,
operator interface systems, and safety circuitry. · Document
service activities, including maintenance records, repair reports,
and parts usage. · Collaborate with internal engineering and
support teams to resolve complex technical challenges. · Train
customers on proper equipment operation, safety procedures, and
basic maintenance. · Manage service tools, parts inventory, and
company-provided equipment responsibly. Qualifications: ·
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a
related field; equivalent experience may be considered. · Minimum
five years of experience with large capital equipment design and
operations. · Strong mechanical aptitude with electromechanical
systems experience. · Minimum five years of electrical
troubleshooting experience, particularly with control panel wiring
and sensors. · Minimum three years of Allen Bradley PLC experience
or equivalent (required). · Hands-on experience repairing
industrial packaging machinery (minimum three years required). ·
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP software. ·
Excellent communication and customer service skills. · Ability to
work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based
role. · Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Physical Requirements: · Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
occasionally. · Ability to move and walk within various
environments without assistance. · Ability to bend, stoop, twist,
and squat occasionally. · Ability to stand or sit for extended
periods. · Full range of upper and lower body movements and manual
dexterity. · Visual acuity to ensure quality and accuracy. ·
Ability to write by hand and communicate effectively through speech
