What you will do: The Project Engineer II will autonomously lead
assigned projects that have an impact on an entire department.
Moving both projects and the team forward to deliver results in a
way that is aligned with company values. The Project Engineer II
provides engineering and project management support for the
Engineering Manager and the Director of Engineering, as
required.
Here s a day in the life:
Work with Cross functional teams to successfully lead project
set-up including gathering requirements, estimating costs,
supporting preliminary Return-On-Investment (ROI) analysis of
potential/conceptual projects, obtaining funding authorization and
assessing risk.
Lead engineering design of Process, Equipment, Facilities,
Electrical, Controls/Automation, and Utilities. Ensure project
adheres to Engineering Standards to meet/exceed SQF/ODA quality
improvement expectations throughout the plant. Lead equipment &
services selection. This includes the evaluation, selection and
procurement of equipment and services. This work includes contract
negotiation.
Responsible for project control elements of each project including
managing cost, cash flow schedule, scope (change orders), risk.
Manage the construction of a project including the demolition,
build, and install. Acceptance testing coordination Mark up project
drawings to create as built documentation. While meeting /exceeding
quality and safety expectations throughout the plant. Manage the
startup of a project including acceptance testing, testing on site
and performing initial production runs. Responsible to successfully
close each project including Project Documentation, Procedure
Documents, Operation Training, Punchlist, Handover, and project
lessons learned.
Executing project while demonstrating Intermediate Project
Management Skills including
Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project
updates and ongoing cost analyses, significant issue tracking.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities: 5-7 years of progressively
responsible experience managing a manufacturing operation with
supervisor experience Bachelor s Degree in Engineering
