Job Description:

The Service Solution Operation team at Tektronix provides the calibration maintenance and repair of sophisticated electronic, mechanical and process control assemblies and instrumentation. We are customer obsessed with an inclusive culture passionate about continuous improvement and delivering results. We are looking for a change champion to join our team as a Process Engineer! This position will be the catalyst in the development and improvement of processes for our OEM Service and Repair teams. Using expertise in manufacturing, service, and process improvement to develop reliable solutions that meet aggressive efficiency schedules, customer and business expectations. Working closely with peers, service assemblers & technicians, test engineers, design teams, and management to develop processes that accelerate our business to the next level!
Responsibilities Include:



  • Ownership of the design, layout, and order of operations of one or more manufacturing cells.


  • Crafting and updating Standard Work, Work Instructions, Routings, and Capacity Analysis.


  • Drive and manage projects to improve quality and process throughput.


  • Investigate, determine root cause, and putting corrective action in place for quality issues.


  • Managing the impact of product changes on the production process.


  • Lead a cross functional team to quickly address line down and other major quality issues.


    Qualifications:


    • This position requires a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.


    • +3 years of applicable experience.


    • Electronic or technical industry background preferred


    • Demonstrated interest or experience in data analysis


    • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies


    • Proven problem solving abilities in a fast paced multifaceted environment


    • Curious, active learner


    • Strong written and verbal communication skills


    • Ability to identify problem areas and craft creative solutions


    • Shown success adapting to changing priorities and interruptions.


    • Must be able to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously


      This position's primary/essential functions are subject to U.S. Government ITAR compliance requirements under current government contracts. Therefore, all employees in this position must be either: 1) a U.S. citizen, permanent resident (green card holder) or refugee/asylee or 2) must be willing to allow or cooperate with the company in applying for a U.S. government license, if necessary.
