This Sr. SQA Engineer is expected to come onsite 5 days a week in
Beaverton, OR The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is
responsible for testing, integration, and validation of new
products. Understanding of Test plans, the ability to acquire new
technology sets, and attention to detail are essential. Responsible
for designing, implementing and executing tests and communicating
with development to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client
needs.Essential Functions:Review requirements, specifications, and
technical design documents to understand product expectationsTest
application (GUI) software in conjunction with networked
audio/media systems running embedded softwareExecutes test
automation and manual testsTest interaction scenarios with finished
hardware devicesCreate and execute detailed, comprehensive, and
well-structured test plans and test casesMaintain internal
QA-specific information systems to track quality assurance metrics
(bug tracking, test servers)Verify defect fixes, including testing
of appropriate related areasReproduces, debugs, and isolates
problems and verify fixesCreates and maintains documentation for
SQA automation tools and frameworks to make them digestible for
technical and non-technical individuals.Other duties as assigned by
SupervisorMinimum Qualifications:The successful candidate will
possess the following combination of experience, knowledge, and
skills: C#, Java, or object-oriented Python programming
skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
or Software Engineering. Commensurate experience may be considered
in lieu of degree.Must possess a minimum of 5 years of work
experience as Test, Validation or SQA EngineerMethodical approach
to problem-solving with careful attention to detailAbility to
juggle multiple responsibilities concurrently while continuing to
meet deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook,
Word, Excel, and SharePoint)Possesses excellent verbal and written
skills in EnglishDemonstrates excellent organizational and
interpersonal skills and is able to work effectively with people of
diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using
acceptable and appropriate methodsAbility to work independently and
in a team environmentWork Environment:Work onsite to test hardware
devices in QA lab and in officeThe candidate must be willing to
comply with workplace safety requirements related to
COVID-19Physical requirements: must be able to lift 30 poundsEEO
