seeking an exceptional Electrical Test Engineer to join our team
who can work cross-functionally in New Product Introduction with
design and manufacturing engineers to ensure the high quality of
our electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBAs as well as to ensure
electrical components' sources of supply. ESI is a brand within the
MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions division. We provide a full
range of solutions including systems for flexible PCB laser
processing, high-speed MLCC testing, and CO2-laser-based systems
HDI PCB and IC substrate manufacturing. MKS Photonics Solutions
enhance our customers' capabilities and productivity in the
semiconductor, advanced electronics and specialty industrial
markets.You are responsible for:
- Designing, developing, documenting, qualifying and deploying
cost-effective, high coverage, test fixtures and software for PCBAs
and electro-mechanical assemblies for use in our global factories
or supplier facilities, including training of personnel.
- Proactively monitoring, reporting, and resolving electrical
component lifecycles and lead time obstacles to maintain sources of
supply by developing alternate part solutions and coordinating with
Procurement and Design Engineering.
- Leading inspection and evaluation activities for First Articles
and defective electronics materials.
- Creating methods for capturing and analyzing data from data
files, excel files, and/or databases.
- Reviewing designs of PCBA's and electro-mechanical assemblies
for DFx and participate in related PFMEAs.
- Creating and submitting Engineering Change Orders (ECOs),
Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs) and Transition Data Analysis
(TDAs) for electronics changes and deviations.
- Able to occasionally travel domestically and internationally,
up to 10%To succeed in this role, you should have the following
skills and experience:
- BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent,
with at least 5 years of related experience
- 3+ years direct experience of PCBA and subassembly test fixture
development.
- Able to execute multiple concurrent projects and manage
cross-functional deliverables.
- Experience working with design engineering to develop test
plans to ensure targeted test coverage.
- Solid understanding of digital and analog test
methodology.
- Experienced with Windows PC-based test systems and proficient
in LabVIEW programing.
- Proficient in interpreting schematics to troubleshoot issues.
Editing and developing circuit schematics and PCBA layout
files.
- Adept at assembling and reworking PCBAs.Beneficial and
preferred experience, but not required:
- Programing in Python, C, C++, C#
- SiliconExpert component lifecycle service
- VerilogandVHDL programming languages, and firmware
programing.
- ECAD: Altium. MCAD: NX preferred
- Statistical analysis, Gauge R&R, and Design of
Experiments
- Agile PLM and SAP ERP/MRP software
- MS SharePoint site management and workflow creation
- National Instruments hardwareWe are interested in a qualified
