WHAT YOU BRING- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Minimum 8 years of work experience in Reliability Engineering or other Product Development Roles.- Experience in developing custom reliability test protocols and fixtures.- Experience with Reliability Data Analysis, including reliability and confidence intervals.- Skills in Identifying Reliability and Durability risks early in Development Cycle.- Physics of Failure experience in the consumer electronics or electromechanical medical device space.- Background in DOE and Hypothesis Testing.- Demonstrated experience in Structured Problem Solving for complex electromechanical systems with the ability to drive reliability problems to resolution.- Excellent creativity, communication, presentation, time-management skills and directing and setting priorities for others will be required.- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including international travel.- Available for occasional late afternoon/evening conference calls.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWe are looking for a driven, dynamic Senior Reliability and Test Engineer to join our team.This role is responsible for determining the durability and robustness of new innovative electromechanical products aimed at making athletes* better. A successful candidate with develop custom lab based protocols to assess reliability performance of first generation connected devices using Consumer Centric and Physics of Failure methods while using Weibull or Crow Model Reliability Prediction methods. Design of Experiments and Structured Problem experience are very valuable. Prior experience in testing with human subjects is very beneficial.The ideal candidate will have reliability experience in either consumer electronics or electromechanical medical devices.WHAT YOU WILL WORK ONIn this role you will work with Design Engineers, Innovators, and other teammates to build innovative, connected products and experiences. You'll work with product teams to serve as a reliability and test engineering resource to enable innovation and inline connected products. You will define and validate custom test protocols, ensure that custom reliability test fixtures are validated, and correlate lab produced failures to failures produced with prototype units in the field. You will work across many groups within the Nike Advanced Innovation Collective as well as in-line product development groups to ensure our innovations meet the expectations of athletes*.A large amount of reliability testing will be performed by external partners. You will work with these partners to prioritize and supervise progress. New failures will often require hands on analysis to understand why and how devices are failing in testing and understand potential implications to the consumer.WHO YOU WILL WORK WITHYou will report to the Director of Reliability and Test Engineering for NSS. You will work with individual contributors across Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Sustaining Engineering. You will regularly collaborate with resources and leaders within Design, Reliability Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Manufacturing. There will be opportunities for you to collaborate with others from Nike Advanced Innovation Collective, including Footwear Innovation, Apparel Innovation, Materials Innovation, Cushioning Innovation, and the Nike Sports Research Lab.
