As part of the North America Brand Marketing organization, our team works x-functionally to activate marketing campaigns and programs that will help to propel the brand and the business into the future. The team will lead all aspects of planning and executing full-funnel paid media campaigns, all across the country, that inspire consumers to love sport and become athletes*. Collaborating with major media partners & agencies to develop innovative, industry-leading media plans that drive awareness and build interest for Nike's most important products, services & experiences. Effectively cutting through "the noise" to create impact. At scale. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We're looking for an experienced paid media director who is passionate about developing a premier Online-to-Offline (O2O) media program here at Nike! A visionary who can grow & guide a team to build and implement strategies that enable the Nike media program to thrive within our key North America cities while seamlessly extending support into our brick & mortar retail stores. You're a marketing leader who is also a strategic enterprise problem solver that knows how to effectively influence teams and leaders in a matrixed organization. Helping to drive sustained growth for a brand & business. You've developed, mentored, and guided robust teams. You have a steadfast curiosity that you quench by obsessing over consumer insights, staying on the cutting edge of media trends, implementing test plans for media campaigns and geeking out over data & analysis. You have a deep understanding of the paid media & advertising space and use that experience when also navigating both creative/content discussions or marketing technology & capabilities conversations that will empower your team's media plans to thrive. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON If this is you, you'll be managing a highly collaborative team responsible for developing & executing both Nike Stores specific media programs & City specific media programs with North America! You'll set the short and long term vision and strategy for these two key areas of focus. Doing so in collaboration with a variety of cross-functional partners. Building relationships across teams, media partners, creatives, and our channel specialists to proactively develop new and outstanding approaches to acquire new members. In a typical week you would:

  • Lead, coach, drive & inspire a diverse team of media managers located in multiple locations.
  • Manage a multi-million dollar media budget, continuously optimizing the spend to achieve highly efficient strategic outcomes based on real time takeaways.
  • Influence internal & external creative/content creation partners to ensure your teams media campaigns have best-in-class creative built upon key findings, insights and standard methodologies.
  • Partner with internal data science/analytics partners to ensure reliability of measurement capabilities along with developing clear and meaningful insights from results.
  • Work with internal and external teams to implement world-class online-to-offline media technologies that enable growth through innovation.
  • Monitor weekly performance, to understand trends and identify successes and opportunities.
  • Deliver weekly performance reports for key partners WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH You will report to the Senior Director of Integrated Media and partner closely with Media channel & campaign leads along with key stakeholders within the Stores Marketing and City Marketing teams. You will help manage multiple agency relationships along with partnering with a variety of large & small media vendors/partners to develop innovative and cutting edge media solutions & campaigns. You will manage a diverse team that will be responsible for planning and executing both Nike Stores specific media programs & City specific media programs. City-specific leads will work out of the LA, CHI, NYC & TOR cities while this role and the stores specific leads will be based in Beaverton. In addition to those primary partners you will engage and collaborate with several x-functional partners across Marketing, Creative, Nike Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC) & Nike Stores (NSO/NFS) business teams. Spanning leadership and entry-level roles and requiring the ability to effectively navigate communication styles up, down, left & right depending on the moment. -- WHAT YOU BRING
    • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent. MBA Preferred.
    • At least 7 years of work experience in digital/online marketing.
    • Strong understanding of paid media marketing across key traditional and digital advertising channels including Broadcast, OOH, Print, Paid Social, Display, Search, Affiliates required.
    • Experience at a best in class omni-channel retailer a strong plus
    • Strong track record with showing up boldly as an enterprise thinking marketeer - connecting consumers with brand innovation, experiences, content that inspires, while using data and testing insights to continuously improve
    • Strong experience with managing budgets and having a proven record of delivering against sharp measurable KPIs (ie revenue goals, acquisition targets, brand favorability increases & return on advertising spend)
    • Strong analytical skills & comfort with getting your "hands dirty" diving deep into the numbers. Proven capability to use data to drive business decisions & marketing optimization required
    • Strong management experience required. Virtual & multi-city management experience preferred.
    • Consistent record of working highly-collaboratively and cross-functionally, investing in relationships across diverse brand, creative, business, media, and technical teams.
    • Understanding and experience with omnichannel media technical capabilities and solutions preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including concepting and delivering presentations on complex business issues required.
