Senior IT Solutions Architect
Job Function
Solutions Architecture Designs and develops IT architecture
(integrated process, applications, data, and technology) solutions
to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture
direction and standards. Performs technical planning, architecture
development and modification of specifications. Researches and
develops specifications for new products/services, applications,
and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration
of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated
architecture across interdependent technologies.

data refresh and presentation architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Conformance Review (CORE) Plans formal reviews of activities,
processes, products, or services. Evaluates and independently
appraises the internal control of automated business processes
based on investigative evidence and assessments undertaken by self
or team. Ensures that independent appraisals follow agreed
procedure and advises others on the review process. Provides advice
to management on ways of improving the effectiveness and efficiency
of their control mechanisms. Identifies and evaluates associated
risks and how they can be reduced.
User Experience Evaluation (USEV) Advises on achievement of
usability (including health and safety and accessibility) of
specific visual design approaches and their suitability for
different audiences. Advises on what to evaluate and type of
evaluation. Manages evaluation of systems, products, or services to
assure that the stakeholder and organizational requirements have
been met, required practice has been followed and systems in use
continue to meet organizational and user needs. Evaluates design
aspects of web tenders and proposals, including wireframes and
mock-ups. Ensures that the results of evaluations are understood by
system developers. Influences design teams to act on the findings
of usability tests.
Solution Architecture (ARCH) Uses appropriate tools, including
logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the
development of systems architectures in specific business or
functional areas. Produces detailed component specifications and
translates these into detailed designs for implementation using
selected products. Within a business change program, assists in the
preparation of technical plans and cooperates with business
assurance and project staff to ensure that appropriate technical
resources are made available. Provides advice on technical aspects
of system development and integration (including requests for
changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that
relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices
(including security) are applied correctly.
Systems Design (DESN) Specifies and designs large or complex
systems. Selects appropriate design standards, methods, and tools
consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and
ensures they are applied effectively. Reviews others' systems
designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient
use of resources and integration of multiple systems and
technology. Contributes to policy for selection of architecture
components. Evaluates and undertakes impact analysis on major
design options and assesses and manages associated risks. Ensures
that the system design balances functional, service quality,
security, and systems management requirements.
Emerging Technology Monitoring (EMRG) Monitors the market to gain
knowledge and understanding of currently emerging technologies.
Identifies new and emerging hardware and software technologies and
products based on own area of expertise, assesses their relevance
and potential value to the organization and contributes to
briefings of staff and management.
Consultancy (CNSL) Takes responsibility for understanding client
requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem
resolution. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends options,
implementing if required. Collaborates with and facilitates
stakeholder groups as part of formal or informal consultancy
agreements. Seeks to fully address client needs, enhancing the
capabilities and effectiveness of client personnel, by ensuring
that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately
exploited.
Job Duties:
Attending Business Requirement discussions with Stakeholders and
customers.
Reviewing Business Requirement documents and use cases to gather
scope details.
Understood entire ETL flow of Enterprise data warehouse with
producing the key critical metrics to business users.
Preparing structured Query language (SQL) scripts for retrieving
customer asked data stats.
Performed development activities from gathering requirements and
designing solutions through developing reports, to testing and
release/deployment.
Fully understood and translate the legacy existing reporting system
(Excel reports) to convert them as Tableau dashboards.
Built complex reporting applications against various data sources
like Flat files (Excel, Access), SQL server, Snowflake, Oracle.
Built complex views in the cloud -snowflake environment for the
reporting needs.
Publish dashboards to Tableau server to make them available for
internal external users and subscribe then to automate report
delivery process.
Conducted data exploration and analysis to understand source data
and identify insights that could be translated into meaningful
visualizations.
Guiding, Reviewing team members deliverables, unit & QA test
cases.
Attending Daily/Weekly status meetings to track the deliverables
status and clarify the concerns.
Worked with cross-functional teams.
Adhered to Agile principles and practices, including the use of
agile Project management tools Jira to track work items and
sprints.
Work with offshore team to communicate user requirements.
Trained various users on tableau usage and navigation appropriate
documentation for the same.
Conducted Business acceptance and user acceptance testing and sign
off meetings.
Providing support to testing and defect resolution.
Proactively monitor the Production dashboards on daily basis.
Perform data fixes based on customer business needs.
Education/Experience/Certifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in business, computer science,
engineering management or equivalent work experience in related
discipline.
Typically, eight or more years in related field.
TOGAF, ITIL, ARCHIMATE, AWS Architecture (or other cloud provider)
certification preferred.

Compensation Range:
$113,925.00 - $189,875.00
Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive
bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications,
education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the
selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle
or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made
on a case-by-case basis.
